THE OPPORTUNITY

Responsible for piping repairs and new installations
Responsible for maintaining onsite Water Softeners and Steam Traps
Regular monitoring of the onsite wells
Complete regular water testing activities
Backup for the onsite treatment plant
Responsible for daily boiler blowdown
Report food safety issues to QA immediately
Work in a safe manner in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act by reporting all hazards, accidents, incidents or near misses to the Supervisor
Follow all prescribed SOP’s, HACCP and GMP procedures
Perform all job-related duties as assigned
THE REQUIREMENTS

Certificate of qualification Plumber 306A
2-3 years of experience working in a manufacturing facility
Experience in a food manufacturing industry preferred.
Read, write and communicate (English)
Proficient mathematical and computer skills
Mechanical aptitude with a good knowledge of standard tools, materials, methods, and trade practices
Ability to lift 60lbs and work in a cold environment
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Good communication and organizational skills
Ability to prioritize and multi-task efficiently
