Senior Maintenance Technician

Position Summary:

The Senior Maintenance Technician is responsible for leading mechanical maintenance activities for injection molding machines. This role requires a highly experienced, hands-on expert who can troubleshoot, repair, and optimize equipment performance to ensure minimal downtime and high production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform advanced mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of injection molding machines
• Diagnose equipment failures and implement effective corrective actions
• Lead maintenance activities and act as the senior technical resource on shift
• Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance to ensure optimal machine performance
• Support production teams by minimizing downtime and improving equipment reliability
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals
• Coordinate with production, engineering, and other maintenance staff
• Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety standards and company policies
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
• Assist in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste

Required Qualifications:

• Extensive experience in injection molding machine maintenance (mandatory)
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills
• Experience working in a custom manufacturing or job shop environment preferred
• Proven ability to work as a senior or lead technician
• Solid understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Technical certification or diploma in Mechanical/Industrial Maintenance or related field
• Experience mentoring or guiding junior technicians
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance systems
