Production Supervisor

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to oversee production operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient production flow, maintaining high-quality standards, and leading a team to achieve operational targets while upholding safety and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure smooth, efficient production flow to meet daily schedules
• Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and compliance with GMP and SOPs
• Lead, train, and develop a high-performing production team
• Coordinate mold changeovers and machine start-ups with the setup team
• Approve and release machines/molds for production
• Track and report production metrics (downtime, scrap, cycle times, efficiency)
• Ensure proper staffing and fair team management across shifts
• Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching and feedback
• Promote continuous improvement initiatives (Lean Manufacturing, 5S)
• Troubleshoot production issues using systematic problem-solving techniques
• Collaborate with Quality and Maintenance teams to resolve issues
• Ensure accurate reporting in ERP systems
• Manage shift handovers and communicate key updates between shifts

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing
• Hands-on experience with plastic injection molding (preferred)
• Strong knowledge of mold setup, troubleshooting, and production processes
• Experience in Lean Manufacturing environments is an asset
• Familiarity with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Forklift and crane certification (preferred)
• Strong English communication skills (verbal & written)
