Compensation: $194,000 to $339,500 Annually

As the Head of Foods Sales, you will lead the Foods Business Unit Customer Business Development (CBD) team to create strategic Joint Business plans with our top retailers and then execute with brilliance to deliver those plans! This will include the execution of our innovations and growing our strong brands that will make our business win and grow categories. WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

  • The Head of Foods Sales must be skilled at achieving this objective in a way that demonstrates progressive market approaches, including:
  • People First: Lead, coach, and develop an extended cross functional team
  • Developing and executing a winning customer strategy and joint business plans
  • Build and expand outstanding customer relationships vertically and horizontally.
  • Be an enterprise thinker who works closely with the Foods Business Unit to be the voice of CBD representing all channels and accounts
  • Representing the voice of the Customer on our Foods Canada Leadership Team and Canada Customer Business Development Leadership Team
  • Be data driven and shopper (insight) led mastering fact based selling to deliver Unilever growth ambition.
  • Dynamic P&L management Manage investment to generate exponential top and bottom-line growth while maximizing ROI
  • Execute Brilliantly, instill deep operational expertise in the team and with the customers.
  • Translating the BU plans into long term strategic JBP’s with top customers and then executing and delivering customer annual plans & targets
  • Fostering continued strong relationships with the customer executive team and BU leaders
  • Synchronizing cross-functional resources to lead profitable growth, volume and share with the operational complexities and scale


WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED
Experiences & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • The role will be located in Toronto
  • 10+ years experience as a CD Leader with both field and headquarters experience (Trade/Customer Marketing/CSP experience required). Preferred experience in diverse market segments and multiple channels. Ability to provide leadership and direction for “best practice” implementation.
  • Ability to create and clearly articulate growth plans. This executive should have proven experience thinking “out of the box” to develop target markets and segments leveraging multiple channels
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop strategies, tactics and measurable implementation plans across many areas. Proven track record of successfully working in a complex, matrix organization
  • Ability to impact and influence different areas of the organization. Experience setting and also rallying different stakeholders behind the established vision; ability to liaise with regional teams at all levels
  • Create a clear view of the future state, helping others understand and feel how things will be different when this is achieved. Have a practical know-how, demonstrating results orientation while empowering and holding the team accountable for results.
  • Manage through persuasion and influence rather than power. Inspire credibility. A visible mentor and coach.

Pay: The pay range for this position is $194,000 to $339,500 Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.

Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.

Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
