Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Jr. Sales Estimator to join our team and support sales, estimating, proposal development, and project coordination activities. In this role, you will prepare accurate cost estimates, develop customer quotations and proposals, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects transition smoothly from quotation through execution. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer or technologist looking to build a career in industrial equipment sales and project estimating.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates for materials, labour, equipment, tooling, and subcontracted services.
  • Review RFQs, engineering drawings, specifications, and project documentation to develop competitive quotations and proposals.
  • Coordinate with engineering, operations, purchasing, and sales teams to obtain costing, scheduling, and technical information.
  • Prepare and submit customer quotations and proposals within required deadlines.
  • Assist with project handoff and support the transition from awarded projects to execution.
  • Maintain estimating records, pricing information, and proposal documentation.
  • Communicate with customers to clarify project requirements and respond to quotation inquiries.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to estimating processes and proposal development.
  • Ensure estimates and proposals are accurate, complete, and aligned with customer specifications and company standards.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in estimating, sales support, project coordination, or a related role.
  • Experience working in a technical, engineering, manufacturing, or industrial environment.
  • Post-secondary education in engineering, engineering technology, business, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
