Senior Maintenance Technician – Injection Moulding
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance and reliability of plastic injection moulding equipment. This role is ideal for a highly skilled maintenance professional with extensive hands-on experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining injection moulding machines. The successful candidate will serve as the senior technical resource within the maintenance team, ensuring maximum equipment uptime and supporting continuous production.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective mechanical maintenance on plastic injection moulding machines and auxiliary equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and production equipment issues to minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot complex equipment failures and implement long-term corrective solutions.
- Conduct machine inspections and preventive maintenance to improve equipment reliability.
- Repair, rebuild, and replace machine components as required.
- Support mould changeovers and assist with equipment setup when necessary.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, and technical documentation.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete work orders.
- Work closely with Production, Tooling, and Engineering teams to improve machine performance.
- Mentor junior maintenance technicians and provide technical guidance.
- Ensure all work is completed safely while following company Health & Safety policies.
- Perform additional maintenance duties as required.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience maintaining plastic injection moulding machines is required.
- Experience in a injection moulding environment is highly preferred.
- Industrial Millwright (433A) or equivalent mechanical maintenance experience is considered an asset.
- Strong background in industrial manufacturing maintenance.
Required Skills

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
