Electromechanic
Position Overview
We are seeking a licensed Industrial Millwright (433A) or Industrial Electrician (442A) to join our maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production equipment while ensuring maximum equipment reliability, efficiency, and safety. Experience working with printing, packaging, or industrial manufacturing equipment is considered an asset.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting on production equipment.
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on flexographic printing, packaging, and industrial machinery.
- Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control systems.
- Read and interpret electro-mechanical blueprints, schematics, and European and North American wiring diagrams.
- Troubleshoot AC/DC motors, servo motors, drives, and control systems.
- Perform equipment inspections and identify opportunities to improve machine reliability.
- Complete scheduled preventive maintenance tasks and document all maintenance activities.
- Minimize equipment downtime through effective troubleshooting and timely repairs.
- Maintain a safe work environment while following company policies and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Work collaboratively with production and maintenance teams to ensure efficient plant operations.
Qualifications
- Valid Ontario Industrial Millwright (433A) or Industrial Electrician (442A) Certificate of Qualification.
- Dual-ticketed candidates are strongly preferred.
- Experience maintaining industrial manufacturing, printing, or packaging equipment.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Sound knowledge of pneumatic systems, AC/DC motors, servo motors, and industrial controls.
- Computer proficiency for maintenance documentation and reporting.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
- High attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work a rotating three-shift schedule.
