Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Machine Set-Up Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating bag-making machines, making machine adjustments, installing attachments, and ensuring equipment is properly prepared for production.

Previous experience running bag-making machines is required.

The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, good problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up bag-making machines for production according to job specifications.
• Make machine adjustments to ensure efficient production and product quality.
• Install and change machine attachments based on production requirements.
• Load rolls onto bag-making machines using a hoist.
• Monitor machine operation and make adjustments as required.
• Perform minor maintenance and basic troubleshooting on production equipment.
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality and production specifications.
• Identify and report machine or production issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Follow all company safety, quality, and operating procedures.
• Complete production-related documentation as required.
• Perform other related production duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Previous hands-on experience running bag-making machines is required.
• Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to perform machine setups and adjustments.
• Experience with conveyor or assembly equipment is an asset.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic machine and production issues.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced production environment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. unaided.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and safety-conscious.
