Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Millwright to join our maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and servicing production machinery and equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations.
This is a hands-on maintenance position requiring strong mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills, as well as the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized working environment by following company procedures, rules, and safety regulations.
- Perform emergency, unscheduled, and scheduled repairs on production equipment.
- Prepare, inspect, and start up machinery and equipment for scheduled production runs.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance activities and prioritize maintenance tasks according to production requirements.
- Maintain and service motors, pneumatic systems, conveyor systems, production machinery, and related mechanical equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions and determine appropriate corrective actions.
- Follow equipment diagrams, manuals, manufacturer's instructions, engineering specifications, and work orders when performing maintenance and repairs.
- Inspect equipment and identify potential mechanical failures before they result in production downtime.
- Complete preventive maintenance requirements accurately and on schedule.
- Support production by responding quickly to equipment breakdowns and restoring machinery to safe operating condition.
- Assist with machinery installation, setup, adjustments, and startup as required.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
- Use basic computer applications, including Microsoft Word and Excel, as required.
- Communicate effectively with production, maintenance, and management teams regarding equipment issues and maintenance activities.
- Work overtime when required to support production and maintenance requirements.
- Maintain and properly use personal tools and company equipment.
- Perform other maintenance-related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Ontario Industrial Millwright 433A trade certification.
- High school diploma or GED with relevant industrial maintenance experience.
- Previous experience maintaining production and industrial machinery.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Working knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Experience with motors, conveyors, pneumatics, and production equipment.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Basic personal tool kit required; additional tools may be supported through the employee tool allowance.
- Willingness to work overtime when required.
