      Thesis:
      My thesis, “Study of Image Skeletonization Algorithms and Their Implementation”, focused on the hardware implementation of two skeletonization image processing algorithms.
      The first class was based on wave propagation and collision detection using asynchronous cellular processor arrays. Using CMOS and FTL logic families, various processing cell structures were designed, their performance was evaluated, and trade-offs in speed and precision were analyzed using Cadence, VHDL, and MATLAB simulation.
      The second class, based on window-matching/filtering, implemented a custom hardware architecture with shift registers and multiplexers to enable pixel scanning and processing. Simulations using VHDL and MATLAB, and design optimizations for resource efficiency and FPGA implementation were conducted.
