Background

I am a passionate mechanical engineer with a strong foundation in mathematics and physics, which I developed from a young age. My journey began with a deep interest in hands-on problem solving, including fixing cars and understanding industrial systems. This curiosity led me to pursue both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering, where I discovered my love for design and CAD modeling. My expertise spans Autodesk, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks, tools I frequently used during my academic projects and professional roles.

Job experience

  • August 2024 - May 2025
    Head Swim Coach
    Cornwall Sea Lions Swim Club
    Cornwall, ON, Canada

    • Managed a swim club and coached over 100 swimmers, preparing athletes for provincial, and national meet.

  • April 2023 - July 2024
    Mechanical Engineer
    Thunder Bay Hydraulics
    Thunder Bay, ON, Canada

    • Designed and modeled over 100 hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD,
following ASME standards and applying GD&T for precision fits.
    • Developed comprehensive 2D fabrication drawings, 3D parametric models, and complete Bill of Materials
    (BOM) for manufacturing processes.
    • Researched and selected appropriate mounting configurations (clevis, flange, trunnion, etc.) based on load
conditions, referencing engineering standards and Parker Cylinder Handbook.
    • Designed and modeled upright maintenance blocks and safety locking equipment for scissor car lifts, ensuring
compliance with safety factor requirements and structural reliability.
    • Selected optimal groove dimensions, tolerances, and sealing components (O-rings, U-cups) for pistons and
glands using the Hercules Sealing Handbook, ensuring compatibility under hydraulic pressures.
    • Conducted reverse engineering of hydraulic cylinders, using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers,
bore gauges) to disassemble, measure, and reassemble components for redesign.
    • Performed basic stress analysis to verify tension and shear stress limits, and calculated safety factors during
component design and load-bearing structure evaluation.
    • Prepared detailed technical documentation, including fabrication drawings, test reports, and user manuals for
    hydraulic lifting systems

  • May 2020 - June 2021
    Mechanical Engineer
    Nouri Petrochemical Company
    Bushehr, Iran

    • Performed vibration monitoring and thermal analysis on turbomachinery (turbo pumps) to detect early signs
    of mechanical failure.
    • Assisted in developing preventive maintenance schedules for rotating equipment based on condition
    monitoring data.
    • Participated in furnace overhaul operations, including disassembly, removal of worn-out refractory plates, and
installation of new heat-resistant plates to restore thermal efficiency and safety compliance.
    • Involved in the overhaul of over 50 centrifugal pumps, including mechanical seal replacement, bearing
inspection, and scheduled maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
