Background

I am a graduate in mechanical engineering from Toronto Metropolitan University. Focusing on mechatronics, areas like robotics and product design interest me, but I am always looking for opportunities to diversify my professional experience and expand my capabilities. I intend to use my experience working in a team-oriented environment and managing time-sensitive projects to both grow myself professionally and contribute to the success of others.

    • Passed the mandatory TIMP Anomaly assessment test, proving technical proficiency to initiate pipeline integrity digs. Conducted anomaly assessments on high-pressure gas pipelines ensuring that they comply with TSSA standards. Data from in-line inspection, non-destructive examination, and external corrosion direct assessment was used to recommend and initiate remediation.
    • Responsible for managing and operating the team’s Depth of Cover program by initiating pipeline surveys, recommending specific remediations such as line markers, additional cover, and concrete slabbing, and then also tracking the implementation of over 50 projects annually.
    • Administered the team’s documentation suite and Management of Change process, ensuring that pipeline summaries and internal audit documentation remained consistent and up to date. This was achieved by routinely uploading updated documents and maintaining version control using SharePoint and ProjectWise.
    • Maintained active communication with internal teams such as construction engineering, lands, and legal to ensure project timelines remained on track, and coordinated with third-party surveyors and construction crews to protect pipeline integrity during nearby work. This was achieved through weekly and biweekly meetings with relevant stakeholders to track progress and address emerging issues.

    Mechanical Specialist

    • Collaborated with a multidisciplinary team of 13 engineering students to develop a drone-mounted payload gripper system, contributing to both mechanical design and integration.
    • Designed and built a linear gripper mechanism through four iterative design cycles using SolidWorks and 3D-printed components; integrated Arduino hardware to control motor and servo actuation, enabling precise and reliable operation.
    • Secured 1st place at the annual Aerial Evolution Association of Canada Student UAS Competition, demonstrating the system’s performance and reliability in a real-world challenge.
