• Performed MIG, TIG, and Stick welding (GMAW, GTAW, SMAW) on structural steel, mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum components in a fabrication shop environment.
• Completed structural welding for frames, industrial racks, enclosures, and HSS-to-plate connections, following blueprints, weld symbols, and shop drawings.
• Executed fit-up, tack welding, padding, flange fillets, lap joints, open-root welds, and fillet weld combinations in accordance with CWB quality standards.
• Operated cutting, bending, grinding, and finishing tools, including grinding and deburring, to prepare materials for welding and final assembly.
• Conducted precision measurements, weld inspection, and basic quality control to ensure dimensional accuracy and weld integrity.
• Set up and adjusted welding machines, selecting appropriate electrodes, filler metals, shielding gases, Flux Core, and Metal Core wires.
• Followed WHMIS, PPE, and lockout/tagout procedures, maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
• Collaborated effectively with fabricators, fitters, and production teams to meet manufacturing deadlines and project requirements.
